BVMS PhD DipECVN MRCVS RCVS and European Specialist in Veterinary Neurology

The Practice is run and managed by Mark Gill BVetMed MRCVS (Regional Manager), Naomi Barlow (Assistant Regional Manager) and the hospital administrator, Jenny Everton. The first opinion vets are Head Vet Roger Bralow BSc BVSc MRCVS GP Cert (SAP) (LVI), Victoria Reeves BVM&S MRCVS (LVI) with emergency service vets Sara Cooper BVSc MRCVS and Andy Bradnock BSc (hons), BVSc, MRCVS (LVI).

 

They are supported by a team of qualified nurses:
Head Nurse Sarah Carter (RVN), Deputy Head Nurse Sandy Griffith (RVN), with Louise Thomson (RVN) Tessa Clark (RVN) Selina Clement (RVN) Sinead Walsh (RVN) and Chantel Pendergast (RVN).

 

Stone Lion Veterinary Centre is a Training Practice (TP) i.e. has been approved by the RCVS to train veterinary nurses and so the nursing team is completed by 4 trainees (Jade Probert, Karen Batten, Natasha Clark and Heather Kirkness) and up to 3 ward assistants (Danielle Boucher, Laura Hopping and Leticia Whitter)

  • Clinical history (if submitting copy of clinical records please highlight parts relevant to referral or preferably provide a summary)

 

  • Laboratory results (please forward full laboratory results i.e. all parameters tested with results)

 

  • Copies of diagnostic images (MRI, radiographs, CT)

 

  • Seizures

 

  • Personality change

 

  • Weakness

 

  • Wobbly or poorly coordinated walking

 

  • Spinal (back or neck) pain

 

  • Head tilt

 

  • Loss of balance

 

  • Loss of nerve function

 

  • Lameness where orthopaedic disease ruled out

 

  • Blindness where eye disease ruled out

 

  • Abnormal spontaneous and/ or/ involuntary movements

 

  • Muscle contracture or atrophy

 

  • Suspected syringomyelia

 

  • Suspected Feline Orofacial Pain Syndrome (FOPS)
